The director of the "The Matrix" and the highly-anticipated film "Cloud Atlas" has become the first major Hollywood director to publicly come out as transgender. Lana Wachowski revealed she has transitioned while promoting her new film, the New York Post reported. Lana has been transitioning for years now, the Post also reported. This new clip for "Cloud Atlas," starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, appears to be her first public appearance since transitioning.
Lana's personal life has been a source of headline fodder for years now. In 2002, Wachowski was going through a bitter divorce from wife Thea Bloom, as People magazine reported at the time. In 2003, a date Wachowski took to the Cannes Film Festival told the British tabloids that the director was a "cross-dresser." That same year the Gothamist reported on a column written by movie journalist Dave Poland, alleging that Wachowski was in the process of undergoing a "sex change".

I'm glad you're bringing these to light. Maybe people will find out that transgendered persons are just people like everyone else, and that trans people can be just as successful as non-trans (for lack of a better term).
I dated a M-to-F transgendered person for a short time. She was a lovely lady, a wonderful person, and in a lot of way I miss her. I didn't feel any different dating her than I did dating my first girlfriend.
I think the thing people have a hard time realizing is that biological sex and gender are not synonymous terms. They are completely different. Once people realize that, I think accepting gender identity disorder (and I wish they wouldn't call it a disorder because it's really not) will be much more mainstream. Unfortunately people are still uncomfortable with it and with people transitioning (once again, fucking religion ruins everything).
I agree with the beerreporter. People think sex and gender are the same thing when they are not. Most people have a really simplistic view on sex, gender, and sexual preference. Maybe it is because I live in the South, but I don't see people accepting the fact that gender and sex are separate any time soon. Even if they do accept it, especially when they are religious, their beliefs will make them think that something that is natural is a sin.
@secretbeerreporter - That is awesome you dated a tranny! After years of dating women and drag queens I have definitely settled on transsexuals. Best times of my lives with transsexuals. They are so much more OPEN in every way. Don't get me wrong women are open but some of them take a lot more work getting there. With transsexuals I can start there and go for double open. Triple open.

She was disqualified then got a top notch California attorney to sue. On that Fox interview you can see that fucktard Oreilly had to get his sexually repressed right wing jealous "expert" commentators to cry "it's a private corporation you can't sue"! LOL
Donald trump ended up giving in and now he was forced to allow transsexuals to enter. In that Fox interview the one jealous girl finally admitted she was jealous because transsexuals have an advantage. There chemical make up allows them to carry a lower body fat percentage. Like my fiance here she doesn't have an ounce of fat on her bones. LOL
But yes the fundamental religious fuck for brains want to force them out because there fat bore hog ugly sexually repressed caravan driving soccer mom wives are NASTY! They have to run to the bible to justify there lack of sex and try and con us smart people into thinking it is a "choice". The only "choice" there making is to stuff there fat faces with pie before there Sunday morning church sessions so they have the energy to put on there self righteous fake pietistic horse shit mask.
@Erika_Steele - EXACTLY! It reminds me of the Chik-fil-A controversy. The religious take two minutes out of there time to read the story and think it is a simple black and white "freedom of speech" issue because that's what they WANT IT to be. They always come back to the "religious persecution" card. Glad we proved that idea was pulled out of there ass. LOL As if sexuality was "simple". I wish I could read one book and have the universe all figured out into a black and white category.
I own an entire library of books and I haven't got it figured out yet.
